Proteins: Peanut butter, Tuna fish, Spam or similar potted meat like deviled ham. Eggs are usually quite popular.
Vegetables: fresh such as white potatoes, carrots, or lettuce.
Household: Laundry detergent, shampoo, toilet paper, and school supplies such as note books and pencils
